After spending three weeks as a visiting artist studying composition with Nicole Mitchell at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, I am debuting new compositions for four different ensembles. Each performance is free and open to the public. This residency has been made possible with support from the Luminarts Cultural Foundation.

“Body Baton” is a concept developed by musician/performance artist Maxx Katz during our time together at the Atlantic Center for the Arts. A small ensemble of musicians will be “conducted” by movement artist B’Rael. This project explores various facets of interdisciplinary improvisation and cue music.
