After spending three weeks as a visiting artist studying composition with Nicole Mitchell at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, I am debuting new compositions for four different ensembles. Each performance is free and open to the public. This residency has been made possible with support from the Luminarts Cultural Foundation.

“Strange Frontiers” is an ongoing project in which I set my father’s poems to music. This will be the third iteration, and its instrumentation is derived from new work created while working with Nicole Mitchell, the fellow musicians, and the poetry studio of Cornelius Eady while at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.
