In what he describes as hypnotic dirges, Nathan Paulus is a singer/songwriter in the folk tradition that whispers and winds his way through poetic and metaphoric lyrics backed by a drone based band of acoustic instruments. I add low and ruminating clarinet and flute tones to the texture.
