I’m reviving a collaborative duo with one of my favorite drummers in Chicago, Charles Rumback. Charles is one of the few contemporary improvising drummers I know that is dealing directly with the sound and language legacy of Paul Motian, and his ruminating and flowing presence continually brings us to beautiful places.
